Ladies weekend in Zagreb

Ladies Weekend in Zagreb

Long ladies weekend in Zagreb, fun and health with tourist experience for 3 nights

Stay inspired and energized to perform well at work and home, enjoy life as it should be!

We have prepared for you several fun, culture as well as health checks related activities during your 3- day stay in Zagreb. We selected for you top quality, safe and authentic places to visit while discovering Croatian capital’s hidden treasures and stories.

This tailor-made programme has been jointly prepared by Proficiscor, tourist agency from Zagreb, Croatia and Well-be from Lund, in association with Well-be’s sister company in Croatia.

We are dedicated to bring to our clients a warm and pleasant feeling of wellbeing, by offering a unique tourist experience, while taking the opportunity to undergo the health check or a health related procedure.

Zagreb has culture, arts, music, architecture, gastronomy and all the other things that make a quality capital city – it’s no surprise that the number of visitors has risen sharply in recent years.  Zagreb has finally been discovered as a popular city-break destination in its own right. This small metropolis is made for strolling the streets, drinking coffee in the permanently full cafes, popping into museums and galleries, and enjoying the theatres, concerts and cinema. It’s a year-round outdoor city: in spring and summer everyone scurries to Jarun Lake in the southwest to swim or sail, or dance the night away at lakeside discos, while in autumn and winter Zagrebians go skiing at mountain Medvednica (only a tram ride away).

MUSEUM OF BROKEN RELATIONSHIPS: The Museum of Broken Relationships grew from a traveling exhibition revolving around the concept of failed relationships and their ruins. Unlike ‘destructive’ self-help instructions for recovery from failed loves, the Museum offers a chance to overcome an emotional collapse through creation: by contributing to the Museum’s collection.

In May 2011, the Museum of Broken Relationships received the Kenneth Hudson Award, given out by the European Museum Forum (EMF). The award goes to “a museum, person, project or group of people who have demonstrated the most unusual, daring and, perhaps, controversial achievement that challenges common perceptions of the role of museums in society”, rating the “importance of public quality and innovation as fundamental elements of a successful museum”

MUSEUM OF ILLUSIONS: Welcome to our fascinating world of illusions. Thrilled yet bewildered you will enter a world that will blow your mind but also give you an opportunity to learn all sorts of things…

Defy gravity in a room where water flows uphill, see your friend, partner, even your teacher grow or shrink right before your eyes, get lost in a maze of mirrors, serve somebody`s head on a tray or just climb up onto the ceiling and make sure you take a photo of your accomplishment in the Rotated Room. Enjoy one of the largest hologram exhibitions in this part of Europe. Watch each optical illusion and carefully view each installation. They are entertaining and brilliant reminders that our perception of the world is sometimes just a perception.

LAMP LIGHTERS : Upper town in Zagreb offers you to experience the atmosphere from the 19 century. Just like in the old days, Zagreb gas lanterns are manually turned on in the evening and turned off in the morning by lamp lighters (‘’nažigači’’ in Croatian). Zagreb still has 214 active original gas lanterns which makes it one of the rare European cities offering its visitors that kind of attraction. Not only can you join the lamp lighter and observe but you can also become one of them by lighting on some of the lanterns on your own, experiencing a little part of a romantic history. Meeting with uniformed lamp lighter nearby the Stone Gate between 18-20 h (to be advised upon making reservation with the lamp lighter).

ZAGREB GUIDE: Most important Zagreb attractions with a twist, interesting stories from the city’s past, a chance to see what’s hiding behind some closed doors and to step off the beaten tourist paths for a moment.
