WATER

Our message today is to take good care of our daily water intake. Appreciate water and be aware of the importance and uniqueness of this valuable, precious resource to our life and our planet.

Water intake all year around

During summer months, when heat and sunny days prevail, we think of water and how much we need to drink. This precious liquid refreshes and cools our body.

In winter months, we probably imagine a warm, relaxing bath, maybe with some aromatic oil in it. This would bring us comfort and relief after darker days and various mind stresses. Water is always there – inside us, around us and in our thoughts, desires, and enjoyment.

Water – the precious resource

How often do we think about the water being one of the most precious resources on our planet? Are we aware that we live at the mercy of water? Water means life everywhere. When we consider some of these issues then we understand that we cannot waste water. We must treat it with care and common sense. Today’s question that relate to water would be „how much of it is there?“, rather than „how much do we need?“. As we all know, water is going around and coming back to us. We would certainly like to have it unspoiled and not polluted but fresh, „alive“, replenished.

Cycle of water is the life cycle

Our Water Planet is critical to our survival. Captain and researcher Cousteau understood this long time ago. “We forget that the water cycle and the life cycle are one.” — said Jacques Yves Cousteau.

Benefit of water for health

With regard to our health and wellbeing, we have learnt so far that we need to drink a certain amount of water every day but there are few more things that are always good to keep in mind:

  • Water helps us maximize physical performance. We move better and with more fun when we hydrate our body with an adequate water intake.
  • Hydration has a big impact on our brainwork and energy level. Lack of water may cause headache, fatigue, lack of concentration. Drinking water sometimes helps to relieve headache symptoms
  • Our metabolism and digestions are also helped by water intake. Constipation can be relieved by drinking more water, which creates the necessary movements in the bowels.
  • There are several other important benefits of regular and sufficient water intake, such as: helping kidney stones relief; curing hangovers; supporting the weight loss process and so on

There are so many topics relating to water that it is not easy to select those that may be more important or more interesting than the others. The thalassotherapy is, for example an excellent body and mind treatment.

water therapy

What helps me, in addition to all good and healthy advice, is to immerse myself in seawater every day or as many days as possible and enjoy in its benefits which, to me are hard to beat.

“The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea.” — Isak Dinesen
